We regularly have a number of rescue dogs awaiting a new home. New dogs come in to us all the time and we try to keep the website up to date to allow the dogs to be rehomed as soon as possible.

Cookie (23/5/12)

Cookie was abandoned in a house, and being heavily pregnant this must have been distressing for her. Luckily she is now in our care. Cookie is about 2 years old, and is expecting at least 8 puppies!! She is completely adorable gentle and sweet. We will be looking for a home for her and her pups once they are weaned, watch this space to see how the whelping goes!!!! Meet our gentle giant 'Sherman' who is a Mastiff/Great Dane x, 11 month old Male. Sherman was found wandering in Mid Essex, and having spent his time at the pound without being claimed he was on Death Row. Fortunately we were able to get him out and are now looking for a forever home for him. He is undergoing assessment at the moment, but so far has shown a lovely temperament and has been fine with the dogs he has met. Please call or more details, on 07749 175023.

These 13 week old GSD cross puppies are looking for their forever homes. Most of them are in foster homes, with just one at the kennels who we are urgently seeking a foster home for also, so if you can help please call 07749 175023. These pups are friendly and quite people orientated, will need help with housetraining, some need some confidence building as they haven't really been introduced to the outside world yet.Minimum donation which will include microchip, vaccination, and neutering at the appropriate time. Collie x Labrador (4.5.12)

Our two 1 year old Collie X Labrador brothers are looking for a home each. Although brothers they are ready to be separated.

Sadly they have lived their entire lives in the confines of their home and garden, and have never been walked outside or on a lead.

So they need to learn about the outside world, and will need the guidance of a patient and consistent owner. They have already began training to wear a lead, and are progressing to lead walking. Of course given their breed they are learning fast!

PLEASE ADOPT ME!!!!!! Hello, my name is Boysie, and I am a 1 year old Staffy cross boy. I have been living here at Crofters Kennels for quite a long time, and although its nice, i would really love my own forever home now.

I am a REALLY good boy, ask any of the staff here, and they will tell you! But still nobody wants to take me home. So I thought as I have some time to spare, I would tell you about what I've been up to today. Well, I went for a nice walk in the sunshine, and I had a good old sniff about and stretched my legs. I got lots of fuss from my person, which I love!

I have a new neighbour, and his name is Twiglet, but Gill said I am not allowed to meet him yet, as some nasty human starved him, and he is very weak. I know it won't be long before he's out playing with us though, as the staff here will give him lots of TLC and yummy meals.

Hopefully some nice human will see us and give us lovely new homes soon. Well, I'm signing off for now, its teatime here at Crofters and I don't want to miss that!! I'll let you know how we're all doing again soon.

22/5/12 Come on there must be someone out there for Junior,!! he has been waiting sooo long now, his kennel mate Boysie (also a staffy) has just found a home, and Junior will be sad in his kennel alone, Junior really is a fun boy, he loves to play ball, and has been receiving training whilst at kennels, can walk to heel and is obedient and responsive, PLEASE call if you can offer a foster or forever home, 07749 175023, thank you.................................

Here is Junior, who likes nothing more than to roll around and have you tickle his tummy! He is aged between 2 and 3 yrs old. He is very affectionate. Good with other dogs. Untested with cats at present. Junior came to us with a skin complaint which is responding well to treatment. Junior will be neutered vaccd and microchipped/flea treated. Please call 07749 175023.
