2.1.12 AN URGENT CAT FREE FOSTER HOME NEEDED as sadly Bobby has been returned to us as his new home was not working out. Bobby will need a cat free home. He's approx 2 yrs old, very friendly, good with kids (although no small children due to his bouncy nature) and other dogs. 21.12.11 Lilly is approx 13 months old, a PatterdaleTerrier and Mum to our litter of pups looking for homes, Here is what Lilly's foster mum has to say about her....'' Lilly is very sweet and loves loads of cuddles, she gets on well with all my dogs and loves to play chase with them. Poppy is good with older children ( would be too bouncy for under 10's) very social with any dogs and currently living with three dogs and cats. #########REHOMED#######Here is Milly, who was chained to a fence and abandoned. She is about 18 months old, and a crossbreed, possibly some collie/EBT or small sighthound in the mix. She is medium sized. Milly is thin and very stressed in kennels. She has kennel tail (where the tail is damaged from constantly hitting the walls). Milly is in short term foster for a little respite for a few days. Milly is very tired and a little timid at the moment, but very affectionate. She has met cats, and is not too interested, and is fine with dogs, although a calmer resident dog would be preferable whilst she recovers from her ordeal. She has been very sweet with my 11 yr old son too, and has been clean in the house. She also has travelled well. Meet Tango, who is a female Lurcher cross and approx 10 months old. Tango was found straying and has spent the past 4 months recovering from severe Mange. She had no fur and her skin was desperately sore and bleeding. Over the last 4 months under our care she has come on leaps and bounds, her fur is regrowing and her skin is healing, she is now clear of Mange, but is still recovering. Tango has a beautiful temperament, adores people, is doing very well with obedience training. Tango is still having ongoing veterinary treatment, and if a forever home is not forthcoming we would love for her to go to a foster home where she can experience home comforts and have positive experiences of the outside world until a forever home is found. Chip has been good with other dogs at the kennels, and on walks, (although we think living with another female would be preferable to living with another male) he has met cats and shied away from them, so could possibly live with cats with careful introductions. Little lad Toffee (formerly Lucky) an older neutered Yorkie cross is now looking for his forever home, here is what his fosterer says about him....
......Toffee is dog friendly,but not cat friendly, and likes older sensible children. A happy affectionate little man who loves his walks. Has been taught recall and off-lead walking, so is quick to learn new things. He will need daily walks, with a chance to go off lead. Not yappy - but will bark if front door knocked, so he has been taught to go into another room with door closed while the front door is answered. Friendly to visitors. Loves being stroked. Doesn`t like being alone so needs to go to a home with another dog as he will settle if left with a doggy friend. Very good when being brushed and trimmed. Currently fed Prize Choice, which he loves, with sausage for treats and training. An ideal friend for an active person who wants a companion for their own dog.....
Toffee MUST go to a home with a resident dog, as he does not like to be left alone.

We have an urgent request for Prince, who is a male neutered GSD x Doberman 18 mths old in desperate need of a forever home/foster home.
Prince was handed in when his elderly owner was no longer able to care for him due to serious health problems. Prince had been trained nicely, but was used to being with someone most of the time.
Unfortunately his spell in kennels waiting for a forever/foster home was lengthy and he became very distressed/depressed and lost weight and confidence.
A foster home was found, but it has not worked out as the resident dog is unhappy about Prince which is causing a stressful environment. Prince has separation anxiety issues too, and the foster carer works and is finding it very difficult to manage the whole situation.
We are desperate not to put him back in kennels, he has regained a little weight, but is still very thin, and returning to kennels will be of great detriment to his well being. So if anybody out there can offer Prince a calm environment where you are around most of the time and can help him to learn to be happy by himself for short periods we would be very very grateful. It is probably best if Prince is an only dog at this time, unless any resident dogs are calm, tolerant and good mentors.
I looked after Prince today whilst his foster carer was out, and I have a friendly calm 3 yr old male dog, a friendly but noisy 18 month GSD girl and a 13 week girl puppy. Prince found it difficult to deal with at first, particularly with my GSD girl who is a little bossy! We had a spell of separation with short spells of socialisation, and by the end of the day they were all mingling well, but Prince still seems a little unsure, which is understandable.
Prince is utterly adorable, very needy, affectionate, has nice basic training, travels well and adores well mannered children. He is a big softy who is a bit of a scaredy pants, and needs that special someone to help him develop his confidence again, and this will take patience, calm handling and time.

#########ALL REHOMED#####Here is sweet Mamma Mia, Mia for short! Mia delivered 9 lovely puppies on 22nd June, and they are all doing very well. 5 boys and 4 girls, with some very lovely markings.
Mia is aged about 15 months, so very young to be having pups, but she is doing a sterling job with them! We believe Mia to be a Lab X Mastiff type, and she is the size of a chunky lab. Mia is keeping quiet as to who's the Daddy!
Mia has shown herself to have a lovely temperament, and is very lucky to have been offered a home once her pups are old enough, but we will of course be looking for homes for her 9 puppies!

A caring foster home is urgently needed for this old pair of friends. Charlie the Springer and Belle the Labrador both 13 years old have been sadly parted from their owners (who have had the pair since they were 8 weeks old) due to the owners losing their home.
We desperately need to find a foster home to care for this old pair until their owners are in suitable accomodation and can take their beloved dogs home again.
Charlie is fit and well, well mannered and likes his walks and is great with kids. He does LOVE water and will find the even the smallest puddle to ensure he comes home wet though!
Belle is quieter, and slower. She is happy to just have a little plod about. Belle does not miss Charlie if you take him out without her. Belle is also deaf. They are both clean in the house.
